VoiceMail Integration

IN CALL MANAGER:

  1. Run VM Port Wizard
  2. Create Line Group (completed during VM Port Wizard)
  3. Create Hunt List
  4. Create Hunt Pilot
  5. Create Message Waiting Numbers
  6. Create Default Voice Mail Profile
  7. Create Voice Mail Pilot
  8. Add VM Pilot to VM Profile
  9. Create VM Profile for Transfer.
  10. Use XXXX as Voice Mail Box Mask
  11. Create a CTI Route Point to allow *XXXX transfer to Voicemail.
  12. XferToVmail - *XXXX in allphones - click forward to Voicemail.

AXL Integration in Call Manager:

  • Add New Group(AXL Group) and assign Standard AXL API Access Role Add Application User and assign to AXL Group NOTE: End users must have a primary extension defined to import into Unity Connections

IN UNITY CONNECTIONS:

  1. Telephony Integrations ----> Add new phone system Edit ---> Unified Communications Manager AXL Servers Add All Call Manager Servers to AXL Server list User AXL User and Password from Call Manager
  2. Add a new Port Group, Edit ---> Servers Add All Call Manager Servers
  3. Add VM Ports (however many you need)
  4. Reset the Connection Conversation Manager
  5. Anywhere under Telephony Integrations click the 'Related Links: Check Telephony Configuration'

DO NOT IMPORT USERS YET!! YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO IMPORT USERS AT THIS POINT (but don't, no matter how bad you want to)


  1. Add Class of Service(s) by Site/Department Make sure you add correct license features
  2. Add Call Handlers for each Site/Department Operator This will be Zero Out option for Subscriber template
  3. Add User Tempmlates per Site/Department
  4. Specify Phone System
  5. Specify Class of Service Edit --> Change Password (define default password here. VM and Web Application)
  6. Edit --> Caller Input (add Zero Out Option)
  7. Edit --> Phone Menus (set to Customer Specs)
  8. Edit --> Playback Message Settings (set to Customer Specs)(switch Time Message was Sent to Before Playing Each Message)
  9. System Settings: Make sure you have Time Zone selected
  10. Change Max Greeting length if needed
  11. In Message Store: Adjust Mail Box Quotas (make them bigger)
  12. Message Aging Policy: Adjust to Customer Specs
  13. Authentication Rules: Adjust to Customer Specs Enterprise Parameters: Change URLs to IP Address NOW YOU CAN IMPORT YOU USERS. BE SURE TO SELECT THE CORRECT TEMPLATE
